Bigs on Campus Meeting

Met with Bigs on Campus to see if they would be interested in our mixer and what their thoughts on how we could be the most effective.

Breathe CoffeeHouse

We met with Jenny for our first Thursday Workshop. We also walked around the coffeehouse because it is a potential location to hold a mixer. We chose a few dates for this mixer and had Jenny check to see which worked best.

Big Brothers Big Sisters Building

We updated Jenny on our successes so far. We talked about our Strategic Plan for the mixer and our plan of action to make it a reality.

Big Brothers Big Sisters Building

We met with Jenny Bates and Patrick McGinnis about holding our mixer at Breathe. We discussed food, games, and presented the posters we had made. We discussed the poster route, new goals, and our marketing methods.

We met and discussed our plan for the Thursday Workshop. We planned table tents and determined who would be in attendance that night.

Met for Thursday Workshop and met one of the matches for BBBS. We talked to this match and also talked with a potential future big and answered the questions she had about becoming a Big.

We met with Seth to discuss our plan of action and how we would make changes. We could no longer hold mixer os were unsure of how we would proceed, decided to speak with Jenny about it first.

We spoke with Jenny about the cancellation of the mixer. Determined it would be best to find a way to fundraise and give back. BBBS created The Big Night In so we decided to assist them with this opportunity.

We spoke with Seth about the idea and he challenged us to do more. We let him know our goal was to raise $500 and then we decided to find an additional way to make a difference.

We spoke with Jenny and decided the best way other than fundraising would be to get donations. Each person in our team was responsible for contacting a business to see if they would be willing to let us have donation boxes at their location. In this, we had luck with Little Dillon’s as they were willing to let us have boxes outside of their entrances. We also made sure to share posts on social media to get the word out about our social media campaign.

A few team members got together virtually to write and review the LPT Progress Report.

Our team met during this week and later emailed Seth to confirm that our plan of donation boxes would be something we were able to do.

We met with Jenny and let her know that Little Dillon’s was willing to let us have boxes there. We also discussed a time when we would be able to create the donation boxes. We also further discussed The Big Night In and how fundraising was going.

Let Seth know we were waiting a week to take the boxes per Jenny’s request and that fundraising was going well. Set goal to have $450 by next week.

Briefly touched base with Jenny about the fundraising and a good time to take the donation boxes with everything that was going on. We also contacted other organizations about boxes but had no luck.

We went above and beyond the $450 goal and also went above our entire $500 goal. Our fundraising was a success and we planned to take the boxes to Little Dillon’s this week. We also discussed our e-portfolio project.

Made all the other boxes for BBBS to use in the future and also took the two boxes to Little Dillon’s

Met with the group and discussed our ePortfolio more in-depth.

Further discussed our ePortfolio and worked to put it together further. We talked about the final few projects due and how this task can take quite a bit of time. 

**Along with the meetings above our group also had a group text message where we would constantly communicate with one another. We would let each other know how the goals we had set for ourselves were going and then also any updates on the information we had received. Some weeks we communicated on a daily basis just to ensure that everyone was on the same page.
